As Public Works Director I manage the Operations of the Towns Public Works, Water, and Wastewater Departments.· I am responsible for planning and management of departmental budgets as well as capital projects and improvements.· I oversee the maintenance and procurement of town vehicles, equipment, and supplies, as well as the maintenance of multiple Municipal buildings.· I also plan and manage a broad range of infrastructure projects from minor building repairs to major road or facilities rehabilitation.· I serve on the traffic commission in Town to assist with setting standards and ensuring safety for motor and pedestrian traffic.· In addition to road and infrastructure management, I work closely with Police, Fire, and other departments to prepare and/or respond to situational issues.· I am continuously involved in meetings that are held both in person and online with a variety of local, state, and federal government staff, as well as engineers, consultants, and other vendors.

As a construction coordinator I managed multiple State and local road resurfacing contracts in Connecticut and Massachusetts.· My responsibilities included conducting project development meetings with customers and consultants.· Planning and implementing traffic management activities.· Problem solving· Ensuring the quality of work completed.

As Public Works Director I was charged with managing all projects, equipment, personnel and support systems for the Highway Department, Transfer Station, facilities, and Parks in the Town of Thompson.· My responsibilities included managing daily work assignments related to maintenance, road work, and storm activities.· I was responsible for implementing annual budgets for the department, as well as managing the MS4 storm water permit, waste management, and planning/forecasting for future projects.· I attended many weekly and/or monthly meetings with various committees and departments to help ensure proper functioning of the town system.· As the Director I was also responsible for managing 11 full-time and 1 part-time Union employees.

As Maintainer 2 at the Putnam Maintenance Garage, I was involved with various road maintenance projects including roadside mowing, tree maintenance, road resurfacing, snow plowing, and other storm related activities.· As acting crew leader, I managed and oversaw multiple road resurfacing operations.· Assisted crews in daily work activities· Under the direction of the Supervisor, I was responsible for issuing work orders and direct supervision of the work crews.
