  • Darkside It Ltd
    Chief Technology Officer
Darkside It Ltd Feb 2013 - Present
    London, United Kingdom
I founded Darkside IT to leverage my experience at building and running large corporate IT Organisations to provide consultancy in a number of disciplines, namely; - Network Performance & Capacity Management - Network Project & Program Management - Network Service Improvement Program Management - Information Security and Cyber Risk Assessment & Mitigation - DC Consolidation & Closure Program Management - Business Continuity and Disaster RecoveryOne of the key areas of interest in the market place at present relates to Performance Assured Networking (PAN). Darkside IT is heavily engaged with Accedian, a Canadian company that has developed a ground breaking new network technology that provides exceptionally accurate performance and capacity management at a price that would never have been possibly in the past. Therefore making it cost effective to deploy this technology across entire networks to measure and monitor the whole WAN very accurately, including the last mile and internet connections. The technology uses pure FPGA architecture to deliver Live Performance metrics that are often up to 100 times more accurate than the typical measurement methods used on global networks now, sometimes even better than that. In the vast majority of cases this technology also costs considerably less than the current inferior measurement method.Whilst, the Accedian platform does deliver a ground breaking leap forward in PAN it is also a full service deliver platform and can be used to provide last mile network connectivity as well. As more and more last mile networking moves towards Ethernet delivery this could be the future of last mile networking. Certainly worth taking a look!
