In my financial accountant role I am responsible for:-- Preparation of UK and European entity financial accounts within the FIS Group (previously SunGard Group) in accordance with local GAAP.- Review of underlying financial information to identify any adjustments to financials. - Liaise and respond to external auditor's queries.- Support maintained for notes and disclosures.- Ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved.- Liaise with Transfer Pricing team on Royalties, cost + calculations, other recharges.Other duties include:-- Complete tax packs- Complete US reporting requirements- Completed equity and tax quarterly reconciliations.- Calculate quarterly tax provisions - The calculation and review of dilapidation and lease levelling accruals.- Complete tasks as and when requested, such tasks included improving intercompany reconciliations process for confirming balances with other group entities, taking active role in getting all entities within EMEA on the new statutory adjustments system and involvement socially with organising a Christmas lunch.In my initial 12 month Accounting role I was responsible for:- - Processing of month end journals- review of ledgers for potential and/or missed accruals- Accuracy of accruals by reviewing Loans, Royalties, lease and audit documentation.- Provide analysis of significant movements from month to month and YTD movements.Other duties involved:-- Dealing with the India processing centre.- Compile monthly work book for 19 business units for management review. Reviewing other department reconciliations, reviewing liabilities ledgers for unclearing/unbalancing transactions, identifying and resolving issues identified.- Assist other departments as required VAT, Stats, Tax.
