About Richard Bower

After retirement from Law Enforcement I started a career in security consulting. I initially started working with Riverside County as interim director of security for the county fairgrounds and shortly afterward started working with the then Newsweek Champions Cup ATP and WTA tennis tournament in Indian Wells CA. In 1993 I formed William Bower Associates Inc. which would become known as Bower Security and the largest private security firm in the region until I sold it in 2008. I have continued to service the special event industry and more specifically professional tennis and golf world through our special event security and staffing company, Bower Events Inc. We currently provide security for ATP and WTA tennis tournaments such as the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, CA, the Oracle Challenger Series in Chicago, Houston, Phoenix and Indian Wells, and the Citi Open In Washington DC.We currently provide security for PGA Golf tournaments such as the Career Builder Challenge, (formerly the Bob Hope Classic) in La Quinta, CA, the Quicken Loans National in Bethesda, the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio, the Shark Shootout in Naples FL, the CME LPGA in Naples FL, the Mayakoba Open in PLaya Del Carmen, Mexico and the Mexico Open in Leon, Mexico.Our major non-sporting events include the Coachella Music & Arts Festival, The Stagecoach Music Festival, the National Date Festival and The Sunset Music Festival and numerous others.Specialties: Professional Tennis Tournament SecurityGolf Tournament SecurityMusic and Arts Festival Security and Staff ManagementSpecial Event Security and Operations Management
