Consultant network engineering and architecture role at AAA National.

Led the team accountable for all aspects of global networks, phone systems and contact centers along with audio, video and web conferencing. Managed an outsourced team accountable for data centers and server platforms (Wintel & UNIX) along with storage. Led several projects to build/expand offices, global WAN and data centers around the world. These projects helped the business achieve stated scale and footprint expansion goals, while enhancing collaboration and also by integrating acquisitions into Mylan’s IT infrastructure.• Partnered with indirect procurement to renegotiate global WAN contract saving $3.3 million over 3.5 years. Secured a vendor using a gain share arrangement after negotiating best deal in-house (First time at Mylan). • Architected a direct connection between our co-location data center and AWS to essentially extend Mylan’s data center into the cloud. This provided a private high bandwidth, low latency gateway. • Managed a project sponsored by CEO called Connect, Collaborate and Communicate that expanded network bandwidth by at least two times to nearly 100 offices. Also installed six immersive telepresence rooms along with required network bandwidth.

Managed telecom provider contracts and budget. Handled administration and management of corporate internet security including VPN and firewall devices. Installed equipment overseas at many locations as Mylan went global. These Implementations included a regional Call Manager cluster to serve all sites in Europe.• Led the conversion to voice over IP using three regional Cisco clusters (NA, APAC, EMEA). This system is still in use supporting over 18,000 handsets and provides toll free calling between all Mylan locations. This included a revenue generating contact center in France and call centers for IT help desk and risk management agents.

Held various engineering roles including UNIX, data backup, email and Windows server. Focused on network, firewalls, VPN and VoIP starting in 2004.
