Coordinated RIM's technical teams with a leading Taiwanese ODM. Hardware development was completed on an ultra-aggressive schedule (less than 4 months). Product hardware specs set a new market benchmark in almost all areas.

Developed numerous cutting edge technologies such as:Developed ultra accurate GPS consumer product.Collaborated with 2 major vendors to prove out their (then) new single chip GPS solutions.Developed WiFi based tracking system with 6 month battery life.Served as principal architect, schematic development, PCB placement and layout engineer (Protel, Altium, Pads, Cadence Allegro, Orcad). Major RF chipset integration and RF signal chains design.Low power processor systems hardware and firmware design and emulation. Performed R&D on military systems for nuclear counter-proliferation technologies (advanced radiation detection and measurement). Customers included DARPA, DTRA, AFTAC, and the NEST team.Projects included:Advanced gamma ray spectrometer system - utilizing a high-purity germanium (HPGe) gamma ray detector, bismuth germanate (BGO) active anti-compton shield, BGO active collimator, and advanced pulse shape analysis techniques.Miniature high sensitivity radiation detector system - utilizing a mercuric iodide (HgI) detector and ultra low power electronics to provide extremely high sensitivity with a 6 month battery life.HPGe system with active cooling - utilized a Stirling cycle cryocooler and advance active vibration reduction system using signal processing techniques.Principal Engineer in responsible for system architecture, processor and digital designs, ultra low power development, digital signal processing (DSP) development, low noise preamplifiers and filters, piezo sensor signal conditioning, high voltage generation.
