Business comprising four payroll structures: Limited company, PAYE, CIS and umbrella, and further “offshore” product through change and transformation. Led and organised a team of 12 payroll staff, 8 customer care, 2 compliance, 1 HR, 1 project manager, and 2 in marketing and 12 sales. Reviewed contracts, eligibility, AWR, and IR35 of contractors as well as communicated with Tax Barristers to represent contractors in a class action against the government closing down a pay scheme.Key achievements: The Main project was to deliver a technology solution that combined 11 different business areas. Working with developers and project teams to create a new UI/UX in an agile environment. Completed on time and budget. Knock on effect was an improvement across the business:• Increased 30% contractor numbers to accomplish target of 3000 through performance improvements to meet bonus target.• Reversed four years of decline to increase net sales of £5M NFI and £1.25M EBIT • Met acquisition targets tabling offers of £1.5M, turned down by vendor.• Designed and delivered new appraisals, met and implemented performance standards, defined and achieved KPI, and formulated and employed career development plans.• Provided top-flight customer service and enhanced customer satisfaction by decreasing internal conflict and slashing missed calls from over 400 to 10-15 weekly.
