Plans the development and implementation of all outreach programs and activities that are appropriate for expanding the patient base at the WPB VAMC and increasing the number of veterans who receive care at the VAMC and its Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Works closely with Public Affairs, clinical service lines, Homeless Program staff, Suicide Prevention, OEF/OIF program staff and other departments to enhance outreach methods to maximize the growth potential of the WPB VAMC.

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is a year round golf program for all military Veterans, designed to enhance their rehabilitation and assimilation back into society. The HOPE program provides all Veterans with FREE golf instruction taught by local PGA Professionals. PGA HOPE is broken down into a two-part process:The first step of the HOPE program is the Down Range Clinic, a free introductory golf experience open to all veterans that serves as an orientation to the HOPE program. PGA Professionals provide proper instruction on the game, the use of adaptive equipment when necessary, and are paired with our heroes by zip code to create a local hometown for our heroes to stay in the game.•Following the Down Range Clinic, all veterans are invited to participate in the weekly HOPE sessions that will be conducted over the next 5 to 8 weeks.

Supporting America's military in their time of need, Fisher House's provide "a home away from home" that enables family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. The homes are for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The homes are normally located within walking distance of the treatment facility or have transportation available. There are 65 Fisher Houses located on 24 military installations and 24 VA medical centers. Many more houses are under construction or in design.

Peer mentors in veterans court are specially trained individuals who are assigned to work with a veteran receiving services from Veterans court. Mentors work closely with these veterans to offer assistance, assess needs, and problem solve.Help with readjustment to civilian life and provide guidance to veteran to navigate the court, treatment, and Dept of VA.Attend court sessions and assist the veteran in and around court procedures.

TPA’s primary responsibility is to manage with the short and long-term needs of the severely injured and ill Operation Enduing Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom service members and Veterans and their families>
