- Searching for and meeting with potential customers in order to create new business opportunities.- Meeting / staying in contact with existing (global) customers to discuss ongoing projects & opportunities for new applications. - Developing finishes together with the R&D department as per the customer’s specification, and implementing these finishes in production.- Handling customer complaints; making sure that the correct department (R&D, quality, logistics, customer service) are informed and the appropriate actions are taken.- Problem solving in case of issues at the customer’s production facility.- Answering any questions the customer might have with regards the companies product portfolio- Price negotiation- Provide training to new colleagues, interns & customers

As part of a team of 3 (2 lab technicians and a manager) I learned to create (and later independently created) leather finishes fo tanneries based in the UK. This involved different types of leather;- vegetable tanned- aircraft & automotive- upholstery- sheepskin- shoe & leather goodsDuring the development process we stayed in close contact with both the sales manager responsible for the account and the customer in order to ensure that the end product would meet all requested specifications.
