Management of 75+ employees across three sitesas well as manage sample moving processes, sample consolidation, matrix, glassware, Rees, glassware prep and cryo unit teams.

Currently, I’m the Sample Receiving Supervisor and Hazardous Waste Coordinator. I oversea 2 - 5 employees. We receive on average over 30 packages daily from FedEx, UPS and US Mail. I pick up packages from FedEx when needed. I deal directly with walk-in clients and their samples. Distribute samples throughout login area, log samples and send to appropriate lab departments. Responsible for hazardous waste collection and disposal. Move 55 gallon barrels from the lab to the warehouse. Responsible for ordering/changing gas tanks throughout the lab. Call clients for troubleshooting with chain of custody forms, sample errors and any related issues. Train new employees on logging, sorting and labeling samples. I also perform courier service runs to Washington, DC and Northern Virginia when needed as well as local sample drop offs to subcontractors.

- I was responsible for being the first Login staff to arrive and for checking our overnight lock box located at the entrance of the building for drop off samples.- Checking the client service emails from clients consisting of sampling questions, checking on sample status, placing sample media orders, and clients requesting quotes for future analysis.- As a Manager, I was also responsible for making sure all of the packages received from various delivery services (FedEx, UPS, DHL) were opened and verified sample analysis and specific turn around times to ensure the client's requests were achieved. - Speaking to clients about special sample analysis requests to ensure the correct analysis was being performed. - I held daily meetings with the Login Department staff to notify them of any special projects that will need priority attention for the day as well as addressing any issues or updates any supervisors, accounting departments or executives had with the Login department's procedures.- I held meetings with the Login Department and the QA/QC Director for reviews of procedures in preparation for certification inspections. - I would also help log in samples and check samples analysis to ensure the samples were logged in correctly.- Deliver samples to various lab departments in a timely manor to make sure we met turnaround times or discuss problem sample jobs with the lab supervisors.- Along with Vice President of the company and the Shipping Director, restructured the Login Department to streamline the Login process, lessen errors and expedite the samples getting to the departments. This system and design is still in use today.- Go pick up samples from local clients when the shipping department needed additional assistance.- Was taught the basics of PCM preparation to be a back-up to the Asbestos Department if needed.- Held Login employee reviews with the HR Department- Trained new login employees
