I am a dedicated NP/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Emergency Department, Psychiatric, Hospitalist, Urgent Care, and Primary Care. Also I have extensive Emergency Department exposure to increasing responsibility as an RN.Past field ALS Experience with an Emergency Medical Degree support my role today.Disaster Coordinator, Trauma and Pre-Hospital Liaison and Base MICN experience as well as multiple related community commities supplement my portfolio. I began in the hospital as a Telephone operator and worked my way up. A dream to continue my education strengthened my commitment to complete my Graduate degree. I am culturally competent and sensitive to the needs of the entire social spectrum. I have served my community as a Grand Jury member, and Traveled to South America with my wife 5 times to serve orphans along with our church members at Para Sus Nino's Orphanage. Twice we further made our way to the Headwaters of the Amazon at the Napo River where we assisted in the building of needed expansions of one of their school buildings. This remains one of the richest experiences of our lives.I have over 10 years Field BLS and Fire Service background in 1976 through 1984, prior to starting in inpatient work.I am a patient advocate, with an understanding of the need for fiscal responsibility. Additionally, I strive to support my team as a mentor, partner and leader. Autonomous, I continually strive to learn more about my patients, my profession and my practice.
