About Richard Challinor
I had a short lived career as a Surveyor and some working it out time in between, otherwise I’ve spent most of my working life managing the delivery of change and transformation. Mostly this has involved some element of digital, data and technology. Plenty of experience, still always learning. It is great to be part of a team that is delivering something of value to users, customers, organisations. I enjoy helping a team to achieve and enabling delivery to progress. Rarely easy, but frequently rewarding. Whilst work often provides a challenge mentally, I’ve also quite often challenged myself physically. My marathon running and obstacle course racing days might well be behind me and the running trainers are hung up for now, instead my hiking boots are getting regular use as I try to see lots of the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Not as intense as running, but can still test me. Much like the challenge of delivering digital transformation; lots of opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. I became a trustee of a new charity last year. The Inkredible Foundation (Charity No, 1203098) was the seed of an idea that my sister invested a lot of time in developing and with support of friends and family has managed to make it a reality. I play a small part in the charity using some of my skills and experience to help it grow.. The Inkredible Foundation provides tattooing services to people with scarring through surgery, injury or self-infliction; it raises awareness of the benefits of such services; and provides support and advice to those who need it.
