Conduct inspections and test equipment, machinery, and components to diagnose issues, recognize defects, and determine appropriate repairs for residential and commercial boilers.Analyze and inspect units to correct malfunctions and optimize performance by balancing systems and calibrating controls to prevent future failure. Install safety devices, motors, pumps, and heating computers as assigned and recommend modifications to eliminate machine and system malfunctions. Perform petroleum bulk storage inspections to ensure NYSDEC certification and code compliance and test tank tightness on petroleum storage units to report results to NYSDEC.Lay out and install electrical connections and controls as part of heating systems and complete thorough inspections of supporting electrical systems to assess continuity and locate faults.Consult with customers to identify root causes, completing speedy repairs to return to full performance levels.Develop and coordinate effective predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance approaches.Communicate operational issues and changes to supervisor on regular basis.Follow company procedures to maintain work environment in neat and orderly condition and maintain compliance with company standards to perform all maintenance activities.
