Responsible for the maintenance, administration and support of the corporate computing and network environment consisting of 30 servers and 200 workstations dispersed across 8 geographical locations, with a user base of 200+.- Evaluated, recommended and implemented SharePoint 2007 as company’s Intranet/Corporate Portal, replacing existing CMS based system, to better facilitate collaboration between departments, introduced document sharing and document management, and automated business processes using workflow. - Implemented a web-based online pipe coating order system using ASP.NET and SQL Server in under 2 months for external customers and internal Sales staff to streamline the order process and replaced the previous inefficient and error-prone paper and fax process.- Provided solutions to the challenges and issues facing the Global Engineering group with managing their major projects by implementing a SharePoint team site for team collaboration and document management, and deploying TrackerSuite.Net to track and simplify project management, job costing and budgeting between team members in geographically dispersed regions.- Successfully planned, designed, and deployed a Windows/Active Directory network and distributed file sharing structure across 8 operating offices, replacing the existing unreliable Novell network environment. This resulted in a significantly more robust, secure, reliable and scalable network infrastructure.- Improved the performance and reliability of the Varnet ERP system by performing critical upgrades to the server and storage hardware, operating system, application modules and database system, resulting in significant enhancements to application performance, user experience, and IT cost savings from reduced administration and maintenance.
