In June 2022, I experienced a moment of frustration in the world of collectibles when my wife asked me to clean my messy office. During this task, I discovered an old coin that had been given to me by my wife's great Aunt Onnie in 1976. Armed with the 1929, 2 1/2 dollar Gold Indian Head Quarter Eagle, I investigated its present-day value. After researching on Google and eBay, I discovered that the coin could be worth between $400 and $4000. Intrigued by the price difference, I delved deeper into the research, only to find something called the Sheldon Scale, the ANA Official Grading Standards book, and a few Independent 3rd Party Grading Services. As they say, the rest is history.

35 years in the Photonics Industry in all levels of management. The past 15 years have been consulting for small and midsize companies developing strategies and tactics for coherent and white light technologies that have potential M&A activity. My interest is to identify and develop potential revenue streams and models that can use technology as it exists today as well as identify compatible technologies that could be bought or licensed to complete or expand product lines.

Oversaw daily activities concerning direct selling, cold calling, lead generation, and traveling to prospect sites for demonstrations—coordinated sales distribution by establishing territories, quotas, objectives, and goals.

One of the chief architects was responsible for moving the company from a component sales organization into a system sales organization, increasing sales from 10 million to 60 million dollars in three short years. This laid the groundwork for a very successful public offering several years later.

Architect of the first automated cable and harness contract manufacturer using robots. Secured $2 million in financing and investments. Grew to 40 people and quoted $2 million in new revenue monthly in 18 months. After three years, the company was sold and rebranded ACT Automated Cable Technologies, which became a $2 billion company before declaring bankruptcy during the dot-com bust.
