After graduating from law school I practiced law in various firms in Westchester County New York, My early practice focused on litigation including matrimonial and commercial disputes.Shortly after graduating, I argued a case before the NY Ct of Appeals (the highest state court) on behalf of my father who was disabled and had his home nursing benefits terminated by Blue Cross. The case set a precedent. We were successful and it is perhaps the case I am proudest of. While practicing law I was one of the founders and the director of the American Paralegal Institute in New York. We eventually offered classes at colleges throughout the State of New York. I also was one of the founders and director of We The People, a walk-in legal document preparation company, in New York. We had stores throughout the city of New York and the surrounding areas. That company was eventually sold. Later I formed “The Law Stores” a similar company with my son. That company was dissolved when my son passed away. I have been a founder and on the boards of various companies in which I was an investor including Secure Axcess (a patent aggregation company); Dura Medic (A durable medical goods company); and others.

I was offered a position at Haaren High School, an all-boys inner-city school where I taught immediately upon graduation. I taught for two years before going to law school.

Activities and Societies: I attended Brooklyn Law School and graduated with a JD in 1979. While at law school I was on the National Moot.

I graduated with a double major in English and Philosophy. The last semester I took education courses and was certified as a NYC Public.
