Rich Devine co-founded SMART DEVINE with Jim Smart in 2010. SMART DEVINE has grown from 40 to over 100 people, with offices in three states.Rich has over 30 years of public accounting and corporate experience with companies ranging in size from multi-billion dollar publicly held entities to emerging growth companies. He provides these services to a wide-ranging client base including the financial services, insurance, higher education and healthcare industries.Rich continues to manage projects involving numerous financial service companies and not-for-profit organizations in the Philadelphia to Boston corridor. Projects include business accounting support to help organizations with operational and internal control issues and transaction services involving mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. In addition, he performs litigation support and forensic accounting services for local and national law firms, financial institutions, insurance companies, universities and hospitals.Rich has a blend of public accounting experience from his time as a partner at a national accounting firm coupled with his corporate exposure as the Chief Financial Officer of two financial organizations. With this background, he has developed an in-depth knowledge of accounting and control issues associated with running a business in a cost-effective manner.
