Direct reports include Managers, Professional Buyers, Planners, Technicians, and Hourly Associates.Experience sourcing an extremely wide range of goods, Consumer Goods, Value-Added Assemblies, Injection Molded Plastics, Molded Plastics, Packaging, Graphics and Decals, Steel, Electronics, Castings, and Machining. Geographies include Asian, N. America including Mexico, EU, and Eastern Europe.Particular focus on Lean Factory transformation and Lean Processes implementation, including MDI (TPM) methodology.

Role included the traditional functions of a Materials Manager at Maytag's primary plant. Position reported to VP of Operations, with management of 15+ professional personnel and 80+ UAW (union) direct employees. Responsibilities include management of supply chain, all Materials operations, including warehousing and in-plant distribution. Role expanded to include SIOP and management of a large Factory Distribution Center. The role also included mentoring and guidance of a Maytag greenfield start-up in Mexico.Earned Green Belt and worked to transform factory materials distribution, resulting in an Honorable Mention in pursuit of a Shingo Award.

Materials Manager at Avery Dennison plant located in Ciudad Juarez, MX (across border from El Paso, TX). This role reported to the Plant Manager and direct reports included Buyers and Planners, and materials operations personnel (Logistics and Distribution). The role also included managing warehouses on both sides of the border. This followed graduating from an intensive 18-month rotational training program in Supply Chain and Logistics.
