Job duties included design, testing, implementation, support and documentation of solutions of applications responsible for the receipt, reporting and printing of customer medical files. Many of the applications create to keep up with rapidly growing customer base, where quite diverse and “one of a kind”. Additional goal was to continue design and support of fully automated systems who’s goal was keeping them running 24/7. Primary developer in charge of print stream creation and debug.In addition to developer held position Network Administrator of Novell Netware 4.11 servers and I.T. manager for a time.Major accomplishments while with EMDEON:* Created companywide automated solution responsible for the transmission, receipt and system injection of customer files. The system supported various methods of transmission: BBS clients, FTP (including over SSL), email and VPN using SSH methods.* Designed “claim consolidation system”. This system processed approximately 150,000 medical claims a day, during initial rolled out. In a short amount of time system grew responsible for $50,000/month postage savings.* Responsible for primary system which processed 25 million statements and claims monthly.* Incorporated creative methods and usage of several “off the shelf” applications to solve company’s special needs including: Wildcat 5 BBS system, Serv-U FTP server, Firstlogic address correction software and FastForward, / ForwardTrak NCOA address correction / forwarding software.* Designed and implemented many complex customer solutions. * Designed solution to convert PCL based print streams to work on metacode based Xerox 4180 high speed printers.
