CurrentI provide quantity surveying services including:• Preparation of tender documents, from outline Schedules of Work for negotiation purposes, to Bills of Quantities measured in accordance with SMM7. Measurement and billing carried out both by hand and computerised systems such as Bluebeam Revu (for measuring), QSPro (for billing), but more commonly Excel (for both measurement schedules and billing/schedules of work).• Analysis of tender documents.• Sub-contract tender analysis.• Site measures.• Site surveying for main contractors.• Preparation and analysis of interim valuations for main contractors and sub-contractors.• Final account preparation and negotiation.Since going freelance in 2007 I have worked for a variety of different companies on each of the consultancy, main contract and sub-contract sides. My primary focus in recent years has been in bill preparation for groundworks contractors.
