I am a company director and consultant, with a background in senior Government positions. I have a deep and ongoing interest in the arts, health, sports and media sectors. I provide advisory services across these sectors, including to the National Gallery of Australia.I am Chair of the Canberra Health Services Strategic Advisory Committee. I hold directorships with a number of organisations including the Copyright Agency Ltd; Bangarra Dance Theatre; the Public Interest Journalism Initiative; and the Federal Golf Club.Previously I enjoyed a successful career as a senior Commonwealth public service leader, having held Deputy Secretary positions from 2010 to 2020, across several portfolios including the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet; Communications and the Arts; and Health and Aged Care. Career highlights to date include leading the Australian Government’s FIFA World Cup Bid Taskforce; driving major changes to Australia’s sports integrity and wagering policies; co-chairing the Government-Industry Taskforce to Address Violent and Terrorist Material Online; and leading changes to Australia’s media policy.
