Rich Eichwald has more than three decades of public relations experience, encompassing corporate reputation management, corporate social responsibility and sustainability, executive communications and speechwriting, media relations, internal communications, corporate identity and branding, and labor relations. He currently manages Fleishman-Hillard’s reputation management program for Enterprise Holdings, the world’s largest rental car company, and is a member of the executive communications team for AT&T. Mr. Eichwald joined the firm in 1990 after seven years with McDonnell Douglas Corp. (now Boeing). He has since managed a wide range of corporate communications programs for such companies as VF Corporation, Caterpillar, General Motors, Anheuser-Busch Companies, Honda, Cinergy, Catholic Healthcare West, Pulitzer Inc., Northwest Airlines, Baxter International, and Peabody Holding Co. Mr. Eichwald has written numerous speeches and presentations for the CEOs and other senior officers of Enterprise Holdings, AT&T, Caterpillar, Mid-American Energy Holdings, and Catholic Healthcare West. In addition, he has managed the placement of CEO thought leadership pieces in the Harvard Business Review, Investor’s Business Daily, and other publications. He has also performed communications audits and provided counsel on communications strategy, best practices, and organization for a variety of clients.Mr. Eichwald has played an active role in building the firm’s global Sustainability Practice and has provided counsel and strategy on CSR and environmental sustainability issues for a variety of companies. Along with his client work, Mr. Eichwald is a member of Fleishman-Hillard’s brand marketing team and provides executive communications support to the firm’s senior leadership. He also represents the firm as a member of the board of directors of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis.
