Cabin Crew Advisory Board Member (In Addition To My Role At Ba)
CurrentCHIRP (Aviation and Maritime Confidential Incident Reporting) receives confidential reports from cabin crew working for UK airlines. CHIRP, (the aviation programme) contributes to enhancing flight safety to the commercial and general aviation industry in the UK. Role and Responsibilities:- Perform as an independent advisor to the program.- Review reports and issues raised through the program. - Led safety communications and promoted key messages using various platforms and technology. - Supported Cabin Safety Partners with projects. - Updated and designed a new pre-flight safety briefing format for the c14,000 cabin crew including the c2500 Senior Cabin Crew Members who are responsible for delivering the briefing.

- People manager of a team of 6-8 cabin crew. - Responsible for the end-to-end management of people which included recognition, development, promotion and policy management. - Recruiter and trainer.- Led a team on the fleet of aircraft as the onboard manager, reporting directly to the Commander. Largest team of crew I led was 21 on the A380.I celebrated many achievements in this role, there are a few that I will always remember and they are, being part of a crew delivering a new aircraft from Everett, Seattle - the B777-300ER (STBE). This included a visit of the factory that’s not open to general visitors! We had VIPs onboard and flew them from Everett to Cardiff. I was able to arrange my for parents and grandparents to visit the engineering base in Cardiff on the day to watch our aircraft arrive. I was also fortunate to have been selected for a VIP, private flight which transported the then UK government to a destination. I also led the team on the first ever commercial BA A380 flight from Los Angeles to London Heathrow.
