I am a New Jersey Certified Civil Trial Attorney. I specialize in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury and product defect litigation, including consumer fraud, consumer class action litigation, and breach of warranty. I was certified by the Supreme Court of NJ as a Civil Trial Attorney in 1985 and recovered over $60,000,000 for asbestos victims throughout NJ and internationally. I am a nationally recognized authority on tort law and served as a contributor to Smart Money Magazine, appeared on the CBS Evening News and quoted by the BBC and newspapers throughout Europe. I frequently speak at programs to educate lawyers on pharmaceutical litigation and medical malpractice.My landmark cases are relied upon by the courts involving the statute of limitations, direct to consumer advertising, defective medical devices, patient’s rights, workers compensation and toxic exposure. My arguments before the NJ Supreme Court have advanced the rights of victims of catastrophic injuries, birth injuries, construction accidents and toxic exposure. I changed the law in NJ with respect to direct to consumer advertising which resulted in a landmark decision entitled Perez v. Wyeth-Ayerst, where the highest court in NJ recognized that a patient who is influenced to request medications based upon TV and magazine advertising is entitled to be warned by the drug company of the risks of use of the drug.I am admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Florida, Ohio, Texas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Federal District Courts of New Jersey and Florida, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and the United States Supreme Court. I a member of American Trial Lawyers Association; American Association for Justice; The Middlesex County Trial Lawyers; the Middlesex County Bar; and The District VIII Ethics Committee.
