I have been working within the IT industry in Operational, Technical and Project Management roles for over 35 years. During this time I have worked in environments ranging from Mainframes to Servers, utilised Proprietary and Open Software Systems, working with Networks using utilising various technologies. The last 7 years have been spent on Open Source based projects for manging large public Networks.I have worked on projects involving 10’s of Mainframes, 100’s of Servers and 1000’s of users, down to individual devices. Managing teams from just myself to 25+.I Love Technology. That’s what keeps be going, learning the new and finding ways of utilising what’s new in ways that make Systems and Networks better, faster, more automated and helpful to there users. That’s why I have concentrated on Open Source projects in recent years and in particular on projects that build an infrastructure for running large scale Networks, Linux, RADIUS, MySQL, Apache, Nginx, PHP, Zabbix, Grafana, SugarCRM, Asterisk, OpenWRT/LEDE, pfSense, Pentaho and many others.I have included a (slightly embarrising) presentation I gave at CUSEC 2013 in Montreal.https://vimeo.com/83817317
