Early morning stocker.

I monitored, tracked and dispatched 50-100 trucks daily using AS400 and Qualcomm communications in all 48 states and Canada. This was a data entry position with approximately 500 e-mails per day and 60 phone calls for driver updates, cash advance, directions, pickup and delivery times, time at home issues, accidents, and driver terminations. I worked with drivers, customer service, shippers, receivers, load planners and upper management.

In this position, we documented all inbound and outbound traffic coming into the operating center at Gary. We documented all fuel shipments coming into the operating center as well as monitored consumption rate of fuel on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. We, as a team, wrote work orders for preventative maintenance schedules on tractors and trailers of the Schneider National fleet. We assisted drivers with Canadian border crossing paperwork and worked in sales at the company store.
