Recently gained a BMS Service Engineer position in ATC Systems Ltd. Long established and successful company providing BMS solutions to a wide range of commercial clients. I was previously Self Employed Heating engineer. Working mostly in the domestic sector performing annual maintenance and response callout on a client base formed over many years. Using my background in Electrical/Electronic engineering I have Specialised in Smart heating controls, becoming accredited installer of a number of the most popular devices on the market including Honeywell Evohome, Google Nest Thermostat and Drayton Wiser.Over the last 14 years Grant Engineering have used my skills and expertise to provide warranty troubleshooting call outs on their behalf. This relationship with the largest boiler manufacturer in Ireland has allowed me to avail of their in house training facilities to further my skill set primarily on the Grant product range but including Solar Thermal, Biomass wood pellet Boilers, Oil fired boiler range and most recently their award winning Aerona Air source heat pump. This gives me a broad knowledge of the different heating appliances that are available on the market today and how these can be used in the future.Outside of work I have been a Scout Leader to a local troop for almost 30 years providing fun, experience and life skills to the Scouts that progress through our ranks. This voluntary work extends to being Facilities manager of our Scout and Community Sports hall. We had received funding in 2014 to rebuild our old school building dated 1847 to a modern sports facility that could then be rented out to other groups within the community for sports and fitness activities. My role as facilities manger includes management of booking the sessions available to different user groups as well as maintenance of the building itself and reporting back to our committee and trustees group any concerns or action required.I am married and have 2 teenage boys and in our spare time we tend to try and get a bit of Mountain biking or cycling in for a bit of fitness and family time. I do enjoy a good walk in the mountains where time permits.
