Richard (Rich) Gold is a Financial Services industry leader and an adjunct professor at the University at Buffalo School of Management. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of M&T Bank, a company he joined in 1989. Rich recently retired from the role of President and COO - the culmination of a nearly 35 year career at M&T. Prior to joining M&T in 1989, Rich held various positions in operations management at Bankers Trust Company and marketing and product development at Citibank.Rich is highly regarded as a leader and developer of leaders for M&T Bank and the Western New York community. As an adjunct professor at the University at Buffalo’s School of Management and frequent lecturer, Rich teaches people how to be better leaders and managers by leveraging the principles of Behavior Analysis to bring out the best people have to offer in the workplace. Rich's course is perennially rated among the highest in the university’s MBA program.Rich also serves on the Board of Directors of Highmark Western and Northeastern New York and the Deans Advisory Council for the University at Buffalo School of Management.
