Since entering into Government contracting in early 1980, most of my career has been working with small businesses with the majority of the companies Government contractors. The first company I worked for, Eagle Technology, I became acting Controller within five years.I’ve been with Basic Engineering Concepts & Technologies, Inc. (BecTech) for the past eleven years, starting off as a Staff Accountant that was to be a liaison between the Finance Department and Contracts. After less than six months, I was the Controller of Finance & Contracts.I have dealt with all areas of Government Contracting including, by not limited to, all areas of Accounting & Finance, Cash Management, Budgets & Projections, Developing rate structures, Incurred Cost Submissions, and Proposals (costing & written cost narratives).I have dealt with DCAA & DCMA regarding corporate budgets, provisional rates and final rate analysis as well as accounting systems and dealings with proposals. I also have dealt directly with the third party auditors for corporate reviews and/or audits. I have worked on final close-out on contracts and have used various accounting software, including Deltek.
