• Maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance as it relates to training for all ranks across a department of 300+ employees, including Sworn (CA POST Academy Certified) and Civilian personnel.• Coordinate projects with university partners, as well as, external agencies, to assess training needs, develop and implement safety programs and foster relationships in efforts to improve multi agency/multi-interdepartmental response to incidents.• Support patrol operations by developing new ways to leverage available technology and implement new public safety technologies.• Subject matter expert of all department technology, most procedures and topics.• Coordinate and manage projects focused on developing and implementing safety programs across the university.• Educate community members through various presentations including online, in person or hybridsettings, ranging from awareness of department functions to active shooter preparedness.• Serve as administrator of multiple public safety and administrative applications software such asEverbridge (Mass Notification System), LMS and scheduling systems.• Identify training needs, develop, facilitate and coordinate training programs, classes and online courses.

Oversee a 24hr, state of the art CCTV & alarm monitoring operation, coordinating 20 personnel across 3 shifts, providing training, building relationships with law enforcement and community partners to foster an effective response to incidents in progress. Work alongside Assistant Chief of the department to oversee operations and coordinate public safety efforts within a multi-agency command post during major events in excess of 80,000 people in and/or around campus.
