Dr. Richard D. Hackney is currently CEO of Hackney & Associates. Hackney & Associates is a full-service consulting firm specializing in training and project management in long-term care. As a direct result of Dr. Hackney's innovative leadership, his company designed and implemented the first Managed Healthcare Conference Series focusing on the affect of managed care on the health status of minority populations. Presently, they are focusing on Pharmacist Consulting to long-term care facilities. They also design Pharmacy Technician Training programs. Within a one hundredth mile radius, they provide faculty for teaching.A long time participant within the healthcare industry, Dr. Hackney has garnered expertise in a variety of areas specifically in the fields of long-term care, pharmaceutical sales, and minority healthcare. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at Texas Southern University, Dr. Hackney continued on to complete his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of Tennessee. His resume of professional experience includes: eighteen years as a specialist/manager in Pharmaceutical Sales with Bristol-Myers Squibb Oncology Division, ten years in the field of Pharmacy, seven years as a College of Pharmacy administrative and faculty member to Texas Southern University and the University of Tennessee. He also served two years as interim vice president of Institutional Advancement at Texas Southern University and a year and a half as HUD/HBCU Program Manager at Texas College.Due to increasing Medication error rates, Hackney & Associates are providing the following services: Medication Pass Observations, Med Cart Audits, Med Room Audits, Med-Mar Cart Audits, and Mar-Pharmacy Audits.Our staff includes Pharmacist, RN, LVN, and Pharmacy Technician.
