•Identifies and prioritizes strategic raw materials that need to be monitored closely by Purchasing and Manufacturing Planning teams •Develops a Priority Vendor List based upon analysis of the Strategic Plan while building and developing relationships with key suppliers, vendors and toll manufacturers.•Procurement of raw materials from approved suppliers to assure compliance with the master production schedule developed by the Supply Chain and Demand planning Manager •PO transactional management for production scheduling for all SDC toll manufacturing and internal manufacturing locations. •Determines key indicators to be monitored to maintain appropriate inventory level of raw materials on sales forecasts. •Assists in lowering the cost of raw materials and secures purchasing and supply agreements. Supports the Strategic Purchasing Plan and initiatives with suppliers and toll manufacturers.•As a backup to the Supply Chain Demand Planning Manager - utilizes and maintains MRP data for materials and production planning for SDC manufacturing sites. •Capacity and warehouse management to ensure shipment of raw materials into the appropriate manufacturing location(s) and of finished goods into the appropriate warehousing/consignment locations.•Inventory accuracy and month-end reconciliations for both finished goods and raw materials. Sets cycle count schedule for inventory and helps lead physical inventory count. •Monitors expired and off-spec inventory and arranges disposal if needed with the focus on minimizing loss.•Works with Product Development Staff to create new stock codes, and supports scale up manufacturing of new products•Work collaboratively with various departments on a global basis to ensure availability of existing raw materials and be able to find new raw materials at the right suppliers for new product development. .

•Executed purchase orders with direction from Supply Chain Manager in support of SDC manufacturing plans and wholly owned subsidiaries. •Located and. placed orders for raw materials, packaging and equipment as required to assure products arrive to clients in time.•Support and maintained strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers, in particular to suppliers that are critical to the overall business.•Conferred with suppliers concerning pricing and late deliveries.•Analyzed forecast costs related to manufacturing, costs of goods sold and business unit overhead expenses.•Reviewed purchasing agreements, alternate vendor certifications, identifying and minimizing single source points, inventory consignment of both raw materials and finished goods go to correct laboratories, manufacturing facilities, and/or contract manufacturers.•Procured and arranged for transportation of raw materials and finished goods to various inventory locations.•Efficiently and accurately processed reports from computer based MRP systems and analyze necessary information for accurate purchasing.
