About Richard Halsall

An experienced and astute capital project and programme manager. I joined QMUL in September 2017 having previously held the roles of Director of Estates at the University of Suffolk and Deputy Director of Estates (Capital and Development) at the University of Essex. Before this time I worked in private practice in London as a Project Manager and before that in Local Authority as a Senior Building Surveyor. I have managed a diverse portfolio of construction, refurbishment and fit-out projects including, bio-medical research laboratories, science, technology & computer laboratories, major student accommodation developments, sports facilities, libraries, business schools, teaching and learning facilities, performance spaces, offices and hotel developments.I am a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, I have a BSC in Building Surveying as well as qualifications in Health and Safety and Project Management
