I have been a General Practitioner at Coachmans Medical Practice since 1983. I was an Army Medical Officer for five years before that. I now act as an Expert Witness in matters concerning the duties and obligations of general practitioners and I am an Individual Member of the Expert Witness Institute.I also regularly teach at postgraduate level the following subjects: resilience, leadership, communication, reflective and creative writing.My qualifications are MB BS DCH DRCOG MA FRCGP. This therefore includes being a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners and possessing a Masters degree in Medical Education.I have been an adviser on clinical governance to Surrey Sussex Area Team NHS England (GP) Services.and a member of different professional advisory groups, for the last eight years. This work has mainly comprised of investigating significant events, including critical and adverse events, social services safeguarding issues and cases where there are performance concerns about general practitioners.I have also previously been a forensic physician for Sussex police for ten years, involving the forensic analyses of patients, defendants, alleged victims, scenes of alleged crime and documentation.
