Primary Responsibilities:• Responsible for all aspects of the leadership and progression of 15 team members including mechanical fitters, electricians and fabricators.• Create and maintain the schedule of up to 12 projects at once using Gantt charting, communicating progress to internal teams and customers.• Ensure each project is kept on track financially with both run hours and material costs.• Have been instrumental in increasing the health & safety awareness and conformity to the appropriate legal requirements. Resulting in a decrease in recorded accidents.• Own regular meetings with both operations and finance directors to balance the forecast workload to maximise absorbed hours within the production team.Key Achievements:• Through a good knowledge of LEAN techniques, has created a more efficient manufacturing area with better flow and less waste, generating an increase in overall product margin.• Looking after a group of team members has gained the ability to balance different people’s views and has a true understanding of how to read people and motivate them to do their best.• Has established a team ethos that has brought the group together to work collaboratively with each other.
