I have been working for Cerner since June 2015 as a Learning Consultant. In October 2022, Cerner was acquired by Oracle and is now part of the Oracle Health business unit. My primary responsibility continues to be as a Trainer on the Cerner Millennium electronic patient record suite of applications, both front-end and back-end (configuration). This is used in many hospitals in England, Ireland and in other countries around the world. I am an accredited TAP Trainer (since 2007) and love delivering training; I try to make it as enjoyable as possible for my Participants, which can be challenging when training them on computer systems. Since the 2020 COVID Pandemic, much of my training is now virtual. I have found it to be a revelation in Participant engagement and love to find new ways to make them feel involved and engaged in my virtual classroom. I worked in the NHS at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as a permanent ICT Trainer from 2005 to 2015. In 2011 I was promoted to Senior Clinical Systems Trainer in the ICT department, line-managing 11 staff. It was my team's responsibility to train hospital staff on healthcare/patient-related ICT systems, the largest of which was Cerner Millennium. My Cerner Millennium knowledge and experience dates back to 2007 and now includes the following Solutions: Patient Administration System (PAS);Order Comms (OCS); Specimen Management;Clinical Documentation;Medications Management;Emergency Management;Theatres Management;Anaesthesia Management;Women's Health;Critical Care;Capacity Management;Revenue Cycle PAS.I enjoyed working in the NHS and continue to enjoy working in Healthcare with Oracle Cerner and our many Clients in and outside of the NHS.
