Responsible for various aspects of raising money, cradle-to-grave planning and execution of oil and gas well drilling, completion, facilities, operation, production, exploitation and reservoir planning. Currently raising funds for a highly economic, repeatable, small scale thermal opportunity in West Central Saskatchewan. Mainly concentrated in the shallow gas and heavy oil areas of east central Alberta and west central Saskatchewan.

Successfully sold Avalon Resources for $60MM in 2005 and Avalon Exploration in 2012 for $90MM, from money raised of $12MM and $25MM, respectively. Grew corporate production at each from 0 b/d at start up to 2000 b/d at sale entirely via the drill bit in the heavy oil areas of the Lloydminster area. Oversaw all aspects of engineering, production and operations in the field and office. Enjoyed the opportunity to work with government officials, landowners, operators, suppliers and contractors and forged many life-long relationships.

Responsible for reserves, production and reservoir requirements. Company sold to Vermilion Energy where I worked on a contract basis for six months

Was part of the Southern Alberta team (Lethbridge to Edmonton) and maintained and optimized various properties in the region often without geological assistance. Responsible for implementation of a successful waterflood; application, pooling and unitizing a gas re-injection scheme; increasing production and reserves at various Alberta fields. Developed a keen interest in all things downhole here (Geology, Reservoir Engineering).

Hired from the Field from a position at Bow Valley Energy in Lac La Biche, I performed various tasks of increasing responsibility working for several talented bosses. Both companies were sold as “hostile” takeovers, and I learned from two such situations to ensure value was extracted in two successful sales in the mid and late 90s.
