As part of a multi-disciplinary team provided Occupational Therapy skilled services to students attending the Extended School Year

Provided Skilled Personal Care to clients with a variety of primary diagnoses including Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Dementia, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS.Utilized a Hoyer Lift to complete transfers between a variety of wheelchairs and bath chairs.Maintained a safe environment through adherence to client precautions and contacted emergency services when applicable.Completed daily documentation and contacted Nurse Manager to alert of any client complaints or changes in health status.

Graduate Assistant to Program Director for MSOT.Project Manager for development of Crosswalk to support MSOT Program transition from 2011 to 2018 ACOTE Standards. Managed work product revisions during a series of department project meetings to identify the two primary classes to introduce and establish competency for each standard, while ensuring a balanced distribution of standards throughout curriculum.

Successfully produced and presented Capstone Research Project “Staff Perceptions on Barriers and Facilitators to Violence Free Living for Survivors of Domestic Violence.”Managed an individual caseload of emergency shelter residents and their children utilizing Trauma Informed Care and Inter-professional Care Principals.Generated positive outcomes using interventions incorporating Health Performance Coaching and Harm Reduction Strategies with Transitional Housing families.Developed and Executed series of weekly groups focused on Coping and Life Skills.Supervised Level One Occupational Therapy Students providing a series of weekly groups.

Managed an individual caseload of 30 completed therapy sessions per week, which occurred on-site in Independent, Supportive and Memory Care housing as well as community clients in their homes.Coordinated treatments with Physical Therapy staff to maximize therapeutic outcomes. Performed screenings, initial evaluations, personalized interventions, progress reporting, and discharges Individualized Person-Centered Goals were developed for each client based on their input, prior level of function, and evaluation results. Member of the Interprofessional student team assigned to Jefferson Geriatric Practice.Collaborated with Jefferson Geriatrics Care Coordinator to identify potential complex care participants and identify patient challenges impacting goals. Provided monthly case management updates to JCIPE and Camden Coalition advisors. Improved patient health outcomes and reduced Emergency Department utilization.Presented “Student Hotspotting: A Novel Dynamic for Learners and Patients”.

Presented training on Introduction to Disabilities and Universal Accommodations for providers of after school programs with a goal to increase retention of students with disabilities in after school programs.Trainings occurred at over 15 diverse after school programs sites throughout Philadelphia County.Performed on site evaluation of after school facilities for accessibility by after school students with disabilities.Liaison between Variety Club Director of Programs and on-site after school program leadership regarding attendance documentation and site requests for additional training.Transported, set up, and troubleshooted self-contained presentation equipment at each location.
