DrugScope was formed in 2000 from the merger of two organisations, the Institute for the Study of Drug Dependence (ISDD), established in 1968, and the Standing Conference on Drug Abuse (SCODA), established in 1973. DrugScope is a registered charity (number 255030) and a company limited by guarantee (number 926236).DrugScope incorporates the London Drug and Alcohol Network (LDAN), a membership organisation for drug and alcohol treatment providers in the capital.
