The Research Center gathers data about the environment and nature in the West Kootenay region of BC. We support research in these areas and network with professionals and organizations doing work on the environment. We are currently mapping the aquifers in the Slocan watershed and will be integrating that data into a hydrological picture that encompasses the wetlands which are being mapped by the Slocan Wetlands Assessment and Mapping Project. (SWAMP).
