Headquartered in London, the Group operates across 11 countries and employs c. 200 colleagues.I was recruited as interim CEO to undertake a Global strategic review and lead the subsequent restructuring activity.BBA is a complex, technology led business which develops and delivers engineering fixes and test procedures for electronic components and systems.

Responsible for Middle East, North Africa & Turkey. Leading a regional expansion drive via acquisitions and Greenfield start-ups.Established commercial operations in the UAE, Turkey, Libya & Saudi Arabia taking a lead on 7 acquisitions in total from sourcing through to integration. Full P&L responsibility and Board Member with full Power of Attorney in each market.

Secured, designed, mobilised and managed a $40M contract with the Libyan government to control rats in the major cities of Tripoli, Misratah & Benghazi. At times it was tough but such an amazing experience, we dealt with Bubonic Plague in Tobruk, World War II landmines, several hundred thousand rats and in 2011 the uprising that led to the overthrow of the regime. Commenced operations with a team of 32 British Expats then developed local capability resulting in a final footprint of 100 local colleagues and 5 expats. Also established a commercial JV which became market leader within 18 months of launch. I played a very active role in the community in Libya having served on the Board of the British School Tripoli, British Embassy warden, active member of the British Business Group, advising UK companies on market entry via UKTI and supporting a programme for rehabilitating Libyan prisoners led by UK consultants. Recruited as part of a Group restructuring programme to overhaul the Key Accounts function within the UK. Coming from the exotic World of automotive manufacturing, Harvey Nash had their work cut out to persuade me my future was in rat catching but I'm glad they did. I've worked with some great people and had experiences that I'll treasure for the next 40 years.Developed and led a team of 6 Key Account Managers & 10 Account Administrators. Received the award for the Sales Director of The Year in initial year and promoted to General Manager during second year having won the largest contract in the Division's 85 year history.

Initially responsible for the Ford of Turkey Account, a $120M cross commodity portfolio with Ford Otosan. Led Visteon's strategy to localise content and improve supply chain costs when Ford relocated the Transit from Genk, Belgium. More latterly responsible for the Ford of Europe Powertrain account, a $600M cross car line account covering Powertrain Control Modules, Engine Intake Systems, Fuel & Water Pumps and Ignition Systems.Led a team of 3 Account Managers.

Part of the manufacturing business unit. Leading strategic studies such as Make vs. Buy for Europe, Turkey manufacturing strategy, standardisation of industrial engineering standards across Europe and engineering & management headcount optimsation

Lead manufacturing engineer for the Jaguar X202 / X350 (New aluminum XJ & refresh S-Type) Rear Axle manufacturing process. Responsible for manufacturing process development from prototype builds through to production readiness. Responsible for APQP, PPAP, QFD & Lean Manufacturing excellence.

Started as a multi skilled Engineering Apprentice at the TV manufacturing Plant at Pencoed. Awarded Engineering Apprentice of the Year for South Wales in 1993 from a peer group of c. 200. Promoted to Process Engineer during final year of apprenticeship then took a sabbatical to convert HNC to BEng(Hons) on completion of apprenticeship. Rejoined the CRT production plant as a Process Engineer in 1998. Six Sigma Green Belt.
