About Richard K.

Experienced university teacher and writing tutor with a professional background in events management, bid-writing and third sector roles.I have organised and presented at numerous national and international conferences on a wide range of subjects. I have co-edited a volume of conference proceedings (see Publications), funded in-part by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and published by Ubiquity Press.I have worked across the UK and abroad. I completed my PhD in Classics at the University of Edinburgh, where I also served as Writing Tutor and Teaching Assistant on a wide range of undergraduate courses. My PhD was fully-funded by the College Research Award and I passed my viva with no corrections.My research focused on the site of Olbia in modern Ukraine. I have a strong research background in Eastern European antiquity, having completed projects on the Caucasus and language courses in Russian and Ukrainian, and I have also participated in archaeological excavations in Israel/Palestine, the UK, and Italy.
