I have spent last 14 years as the Executive Director of the Michigan Gaming control Board and serving the people of the state of Michigan through 3 seperate Governors appointments. Beginning in 2007 and ending in 2021 I had the pleasure of overseeing and coordinating the regulation and oversight of the Gaming and casino industry, horse racing industry and setting Gambling policy with each of 3 administrations in Michigan. Streamlining the commercial casino violation process allowing for speedy disposition along with a collaborative approach to mitigate risk within the casino operations environment. Overseeing and approving the writing the rules necessary to implement online gaming and sports betting in Michigan in record time. Successfully launching 14 operators, both tribal and commercial, simultaneously in 2021 with great success. All this while maintaining a business friendly approach to regulation and protecting the integrity of Michigan gaming. Michigan Gaming control board regulates all aspects of Commercial Gaming in Michigan. The Executive Director also is the Racing Commissioner for the regulation of Horse racing. The Executive Director is also delegated by the Governor, the responsibility of Tribal Compact enforcement as it relates to Indian Gaming at the 23 tribal casinos statewide.
