I served as an executive Board member and senior director at Ofwat for over three years with a focus on competition, markets, customers and enforcement.My remit included all of Ofwat's enforcement and licensing functions, including its concurrent powers under the Competition Act 1998. My other passion at Ofwat was for customers - I led the work on affordability and vulnerability which marked a real step change in the sector's views and Ofwat's approach to both bad debt and customers in vulnerable circumstances. I also championed values and behaviours within Ofwat and worked with colleagues to produce the organisations current SAILOR values.
