* Performed all the duties and responsibilities as determined by the Principal Investigator and Investigator of Analytical Clinical Chemistry Laboratory. * Co-ordinated and worked closely with the P.I. and Investigator in research projects with relation to drug analysis.* Wrote Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) according to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines.* Involved in Novirio Phase I/IIa Pharmacokinetics Clinical Trial.

* Managed day to day laboratory operations, equipment maintenance and procurement.* Developed molecular methods to detect polymorphism/mutation in factor VII gene as well as MTHFR gene in local population. Two local conference abstracts were generated.* Involved in research project with Dr. K. C. Loh from the Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore to study the incidence of primary aldosteronism with relation to hypertensive patients in Singapore population. One international conference abstract was generated from this project.* Assisted the centre to prepare for accreditation under the College of American Pathologist (CAP) in the area of molecular pathology. Learnt and practiced all the quality control procedures as well as setting up of procedure manual. The centre passed all the criteria and was accredited in November 1998.
