Avolta, a Basel, Switzerland-based company, is a world leader in dining and retail travel venues focused on making travelers happier by delivering a holistic travel experience along their whole journey. HMSHost and Hudson (fully owned subsidiaries) operate locations in North America. I am currently the Corporate Controller for Avolta North America. I began my career with Host Marriott Services in the financial reporting department 1996 when the company was spun-off from Host Marriott Corporation. The company changed its name to HMSHost after being purchased by the Milan, Italy based Autogrill Group in 1999. I was promoted to Corporate Controller in 2002. The Autogrill Group was combined into Dufry in February of 2023, and Dufry restructured and changed the company name to Avolta in November 2023.

The Journey For Good Foundation by Avolta (formerly the HMSHost Foundation) was formed in 2015 with the mission to fight poverty with food, shelter, education, and workforce development opportunities. As controller of this non-profit organization from the initial formation, I created the accounting books on Quickbooks software and oversee the preparation of the monthly financial statements. I am also responsible for coordinating the annual external financial audit and the tax-exempt filing of the Form 990 with the IRS.

The Wormald Company completed construction of the 44 townhomes at Quarry Springs on River Road in Bethesda in August of 2023. The construction took almost four years to complete, and the builder turned over management of the Homeowners Association to the community in August of 2023. I was elected to the inaugural Board of Directors and am also filling the role of Treasurer. I am striving to create an organized set of books and records for the Quarry Springs HOA and uphold the Wormald motto of “Love Where You Live.”

Riggs Bank was headquartered in Washington, D.C. and was once known to be "the most important bank in the most important city in the world." The bank was known for handling the personal financial affairs of many U.S. Presidents and foreign embassies in Washington, D.C. I started my career at "The Riggs" in the Internal Audit Department and worked there for three years. I was promoted into the Controller Department and became Vice President of Regulatory Reporting.
