•Oversight of the following academic units: Languages & Speech; Behavioral & Social Sciences; Fine Arts & Humanities; Education & Reading •Maintain accreditations with state, regional, and national organizations.•Provide leadership in the evaluation and professional development of chairs, faculty, and staff; conducts annual and comprehensive evaluations for faculty, staff, assigned programs, services, and activities.•Foster a culture of transparent and consistent communication with faculty and staff in the school, as well as with college and community partners.•Develop, monitor, and implement goals and objectives that are directly aligned to the UA-PTC Strategic Plan•Hold regular meetings with faculty and staff to ensure communication, collaboration, and effectiveness of programs.•Facilitates and supports faculty-driven visual and performing arts instructional activities.•Promotes the assessment of academic outcomes in order to determine the effectiveness of student learning.•Assist faculty in the development of student learning outcomes as aligned to Program Learning Outcomes and Institutional Learning Outcomes. •Manage Title III Predominantly Black Institutions grant as administered though the US Department of Education and the program’s. ($3 million in grant funds)•To increase the retention and graduation of African American students entering the College as STEM majors. •Coordinate program’s Advisory Board.•Develop and maintain relationships with campus and community organizations and individuals to promote increased academic success, retention, graduation and transfer among African American students.•Remain informed about federal policies and regulations to assure project compliance. •Train, supervise, and evaluate project staff.•Authorize expenditures with responsibility for appropriate use of funds.•Prepare fiscal and technical project reports for the College and US Department of Education. •Work with college staff to institutionalize new practices for retention and recruitment of African American STEM majors. •Met or exceeded program goals each year of the grant. •Retained at least 70% of program’s student’s year to year. •Created the Teaching In STEM professional development series focused on increasing the number of African Americans entering the field of STEM in k – 12 education. •Developed the Women In STEM professional development series focused on•Implemented the Summer Enrichment Institute for middle and high school students•Oversaw the creation of the Summer Bridge to Greatness program for incoming high school seniors

•Team member of a federally funded US Department of Education Title III Predominantly Black Institutions grant to increase the retention and graduation rates •Identified and recruited African American male high school and Pulaski Technical College students for participation in The Network for Student Success program.•Case managed and mentored 75 students annually as part of the program’s retention initiatives. •Assessed academic needs and developed Individual Personal Improvement Plan for program participants through utilization of Blumen® (data tracking tool). •Met with program participants at a minimum once a month to monitor progress and assessed needs and developed intervention strategies as deemed appropriate.•Planned and conducted academic, study skills, and other intervention workshops.•Provided academic scheduling and degree completion support for each participant.•Worked with the Financial Aid Office to ensure each student on the case load had their financial needs met and aid packages were completed in and timely manner. •Managed and supervised Center tutors and tutorial program.•Organized and conducted college tours for future transfer students in the program at four year colleges in Arkansas.•Provided support and guidance to local African American high school students in the completion of admissions and financial aid process for enrollment at Pulaski Technical College.•Planned and coordinated the program’s annual STEM Day Conference for middle and high school students in the Pulaski County Special, Little Rock School District – more than 1000 students attended the conference from 2011 through 2015. •Helped students secure more than $50,000 in scholarships at Pulaski Technical College, Arkansas State University, the University of Arkansas, the University of Central Arkansas and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. •Recruited and selected students for the College’s Arkansas - Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program.

•As program coordinator, managed daily operation of the Body Walk which included scheduling and invoicing to schools in all 75 counties in Arkansas. •Collaborated with Body Walk Program Truck Driver to assure that materials and supplies were readily available for program visits to schools. •Worked with Health Specialist to monitor three core competency modules taught via Educator training website. •Provided data on core competencies to State Leader for Family and Consumer Sciences as requested.•Conducted training and educational classes for Family and Consumer Science agents. •Developed and maintained Access database that included tracking invoices, student data and generated reports for Body Walk program. •Created website for Body Walk program. •Assisted with development and updating of Body Walk training manual and other promotional materials for the program. •Awarded the 2005 Extension Excellence Issue Team Award for the Body Walk Program.•Increased the number of students participating in the program by 10% in final year with program. •Developed quarterly electronic newsletter that highlighted accomplishments of the program.
