I was responsible for;• Management of the requirements set for a nuclear safety related structure and interfacing modifications to nuclear classificed plant/equipment; • Responsible for the development of the Engineering & Handover strategy to the end-users and owners; • Definition of the assurance framework to ensure design intent was achieved through the fabrication and construction process;• Chairing of technical risk and assumption reviews and management of the resulting mitigating actions; • Production/approval of technical assessments and resolutions in response to Technical Queries;• Acted as the technical representative interfacing with the major project stakeholders, suppliers, regulatory bodies (internal and external), as well as directly and indirectly managing a large design team consisting of internal and external designers;• Acted as the Technical Authority on site, ensuring design intent was met and the nuclear licence site procedures were followed;• Planning and delivery technical governance in accordance with the Engineering Management Plan;• Provided technical interface with the ONR, directly addressing and solving a number of technical queries that constituted significant project risk;• Developed the CDM framework to allow us to operate a construction site within the constraints of a nuclear facility undertaking major refit activities; Show less
