I worked exclusively in insurance litigation from the early 1980’s and had been a partner of the firm since 1987. My areas of expertise included WorkCover, occupational health and safety, risk and claims management, and employment law. I was a partner in the Workplace Services team which provided a range of services to WorkSafe Victoria, major employers, insurers and self-insurer companies across the retail, manufacturing and service sectors. I regularly made presentations and conducted training sessions on various aspects of the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (and its successor) and risk management. I strived to deliver timely, quality service with creative solutions that satisfied client’s strategic objectives. My career had a depth only years of experience could provide, traversing the long history of significant amendments to the Workers Compensation Act 1958, the Accident Compensation Act 1985 and finally the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013.I retired from the firm and legal practice on 30 June 2018. I have kept very active and been very busy.
