Creating for the pleasure of it isn’t work. Whether it’s to create an object, a product, a business or a home for a needy family, the satisfaction of standing back and seeing it finished overcompensates for the effort. It doesn’t feel like work. I have had the immense pleasure of pulling together with teams of wonderful people who joined me in attaining what seemed unattainable. The things they taught me keep the fires stoked. So much of our work together is still in operation—on the International Space Station. The Mars Science Lab, Curiosity. The military and commercial aircraft, and electrical power grids. The very company itself: Flexial, now joined with Hyspan. My congratulations to all there who have carried the work forward to even greater heights.I still create, but on a smaller scale. My latest, Backslider, took nine years, but it is close to production and should be available last quarter, 2022. Two more patents (brings it to thirteen) and another in the works. No point in stopping as long as I'm blessed with good health.My second book, a full novel, was published this year, 2022. And working on another. These latter works have brought me together with so many fascinating people. Join me --Rick
